About the role

As a Data Conversion Specialist , you are the bridge between a practice's legacy data and their future with ModMed. You won't just move data; you will ensure the integrity of the clinical information that doctors rely on every day. You will manage multiple projects, navigating complex technical landscapes to ensure our customers transition seamlessly to our platform. What You'll Do (Essential Duties) Create Customer Delight: Execute medium-complexity data conversion projects from kickoff to completion, ensuring our clients feel supported at every turn. Innovate & Troubleshoot: Analyze complex datasets for errors and develop corrective procedures to ensure 100% data accuracy. You'll be the primary troubleshooter for technical issues during the conversion lifecycle. Think Big & Collaborate: Communicate clearly with internal teams and external vendors to clarify project requirements and timelines, ensuring everyone is aligned on the "big picture." Drive Success: Archive and prepare environments for EMR conversions, conducting rigorous testing and validation to meet (and exceed) technical specifications. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to refine our migration processes, because at ModMed, we never settle for "good enough" when it comes to the customer experience.

Requirements

  • A Passion for Tech: A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • The Foundation: 1-3 years of relevant experience in data manipulation, mapping, or project coordination.
  • Technical Toolbelt: Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a solid grasp of SQL Server and Windows Server environments.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with business tools like Google Workspace and VPN clients, along with the ability to perform off-hours tasks when a project's success depends on it.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to translate "tech-speak" into clear, actionable documents for stakeholders.
  • Bonus Points: Knowledge of clinical workflows or healthcare operations (though we'll teach you the ropes if you're a quick study!).
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience: Proven track record in developing and integrating business processes and managing data-heavy projects.
  • Flexibility: ModMed is a fast-paced environment. You must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet our customers' needs.
  • Ability to work from the office during night shifts (5:30 PM IST to 02:30 AM IST) to support our global operations.
