Background Library Services provides a dedicated, professional and responsive service across the three campuses of City St Georges, University of London. Our collections of print and online resources support the teaching and research activities of the institution. Our printed collections consist of around 250,000 books with over 25,000 online journals and over 1600 study spaces available in our libraries. Responsibilities The successful candidate will liaise and develop contacts within the School of Health & Medical Sciences in relation to promoting and gathering feedback on Library Services. They will participate in ongoing collection management and development including monitoring and evaluating health resources to support the students, researchers and staff of the School. They will represent Library Services at relevant meetings. The successful candidate will be involved with the induction of staff and students, will contribute to developing, delivering and evaluating Digital and Information Literacy programmes, and will inform and assist in projects undertaken by Library Services. Person Specification The successful candidate will have a qualification in librarianship or information management, or equivalent experience in a library role. They will have knowledge of library resources and research skills, excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to plan and undertake a range of tasks, and to manage their workload effectively. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and customer service experience that enables them to interact with library users, colleagues, academic staff, researchers and other stakeholders inside and outside of the university.
