Work collaboratively with the Housing Operations and Residence Life team to ensure that all housing assignments are done in a timely and effective manner. Work collaboratively with Campus Partners ensuring placements for Living Learning Communities (LLC's). Partner with Residence Life to align occupancy strategies with student experience goals. Collaborate with Admissions and Enrollment Management on projections and recruitment efforts. Work with Maintenance and Operations to ensure space readiness and availability. Functional Area 4: Customer Service Percent Effort: 10% Respond to student and family inquiries regarding housing assignments and processes. Assist students with housing selection, room changes, and assignment concerns. Provide clear communication regarding timelines, eligibility, and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field.
- Six (6) years of related experience.
- Additional education may be considered as a substitute for the minimum experience requirement:
- Master's degree in applicable field and four (4) years of related experience
- Doctoral degree in applicable field and two (2) years of related experience
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.
- Extensive experience with StarRez or comparable housing management systems, with a strong emphasis on assignments, occupancy management, and room selection processes.
- Experience with Banner and Microsoft Office
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to represent Islander Housing in a professional demeanor in person, on the phone, and in written correspondence.
