You will also contribute to mentoring students and early career researchers while helping to strengthen the Centre's research profile and commitment to excellence. Your key responsibilities will be to: Conduct high-quality research in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, contributing to the design, delivery and translation of research that improves health outcomes and supports community priorities. Produce high-impact research outputs, including peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations and scholarly reports, while maintaining an active research profile. Contribute to the development of competitive research funding applications and support the successful delivery of funded research projects. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, researchers, health services, government agencies and other key stakeholders. Support research excellence through mentoring students and early career researchers, and contribute to supervision activities where appropriate. Contribute to the effective operation of the Centre through participation in administrative activities, strategic initiatives and a positive, inclusive workplace culture. About you PhD in a relevant field or relevant combination of training and experience. Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, with a strong understanding of culturally appropriate and ethical approaches to research engagement. Experience conducting original research within Aboriginal health, public health, medical research or healthcare settings, with evidence of scholarly outputs and research impact. A developing research profile and professional network, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across academic, industry, community and government stakeholders. Proven ability to supervise, mentor and support students or early career researchers, alongside strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills. A genuine commitment to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes, supported by a sound understanding of relevant research guidelines, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
