About the role

This position will be assigned to Joint Base Langley, VA . This is a two-year developmental trainee program. The selectee will enter as an NF-03 with a salary range of $45K-$55K and upon successfully completing the first year, be promoted to an NF-04 with a salary range of $55K-$65K. Upon successful completion of the two-year program, the participant will outplace to an Air Force Installation as a Golf Course Manager. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave. Qualifying Experience: Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of golf as would be gained through a PGA certified golf management 4 year school. Skill in oral and written communication; ability to utilize and apply knowledge to plan and carry out business and/or recreational activities of a program segment that meets the needs of the community; and skill in effectively managing financial and physical resources within a program segment. Ability to deal effectively with employees, members and their guests within and outside the activity.
