About the Position: This position supervises technical and non-technical personnel involved in facility maintenance operations, construction project planning, and construction project execution for a Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and outlying medical clinics. The position requires supervisory skills and mastery technical knowledge in healthcare facilities management. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: performing management of multi-million dollar budgets; leading a technical workforce in one or more trades (e.g., HVAC, plumber, carpenter, mechanical, electrician, etc.); and developing processes and procedures to monitor the efficiency and productivity of the project and programs directed. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
