Job Summary Are you passionate about translating real plant operating conditions into outstanding biotechnology performance in ethanol fermentation? You will be part of the Technical Service team at our H&B team, working in close collaboration with Sales, Business Development, and Applications to deliver hands‑on, high‑impact technical support to ethanol producers across LATAM South. Where You'll Make a Difference In this role, you will provide advanced technical service and process consultancy to customers in the ethanol industry, with a strong focus on how plants are operated to enable optimal enzyme, yeast, and microbiology performance. You will act as a trusted technical partner throughout the full operational lifecycle - from start‑ups and commissioning to steady‑state operations, expansions, and process changes - ensuring operating conditions remain aligned with biotechnology performance windows. Key areas where you will create impact include: Leading technical diagnostics and operational process consultancy in starch‑to‑ethanol processes, including liquefaction, saccharification, and fermentation performance under real operating conditions Optimizing enzyme and yeast performance by aligning operating practices with biological requirements Assessing microbiological risks and supporting contamination mitigation strategies Improving fermentation stability, yield, and productivity through operational adjustments Performing root cause analysis of operational deviations impacting biotechnology performance, with focus on operations rather than equipment design You will also play a critical role during: New ethanol plant start‑ups and commissioning phases Capacity expansions, debottlenecking initiatives, and operational ramp‑ups Feedstock changes, process transitions, and shifts in operating strategies By applying your engineering background, you will translate plant constraints into clear, actionable operating recommendations , acting as a bridge between process reality and biotechnology performance - without acting as a plant design authority. What Makes You the Right Fit You bring a strong combination of engineering expertise, field experience, and operational mindset, allowing you to turn complex plant conditions into practical solutions.
