Full time, Permanent opportunity Excellent benefits including salary packaging and flexible working Classification for this position will range from RPN 4 NP75- NP77 About this exciting role This role is an opportunity for an innovative experienced community Mental Health Nurse to join the Mental Health Education team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. The Community based CNE will be responsible for providing clinical education and mentorship to a multi-disciplinary workforce with a focus in the adult mental health community services. They will be responsible for the development and evaluation of programs and initiatives that support our existing and expanding workforce. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Education Team Leader and Senior Psychiatric Nurse to support staff across SVMH service, ensuring education programs are developed that promote best practice with a focus on strengths and recovery. The Mental Health Education team at St Vincent's recognises and supports innovative and creative ideas to improve outcomes for staff and consumers and support professional growth and development through succession planning and rotation opportunities. Duties of the Mental Health Clinical Nurse Educator Design and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and workshops for the mental health workforce, inspiring their learning in key areas of service development and consumer experience. Shape and assess training programs for our workforce, contributing to their growth and development. Play an active role in enhancing nursing education and practice by providing insights to internal and external committees, shaping the future of the field. In clinical settings, bridge the gap between theory and practice by guiding undergraduates, graduates, and postgraduates through practical experiences, ensuring a seamless transfer of knowledge into practice. Lead structured educational programs for undergraduates in psychiatric nursing placements, offering supervision and guidance for their academic journey.
