How Will You Make an Impact? As a Production Supervisor - 12 Hour Weekend Shift Days at our Memphis, TN facility , you will lead the large team to ensure production schedules are met and quality standards are consistently achieved. You will provide strong people leadership, technical direction, and operational oversight while driving continuous improvement, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will directly influence production performance, team engagement, and operational excellence. Location: On‑site at our Memphis, TN facility Shift: Friday/Saturday, Sunday 6am-6pm What Will You Do? Leadership & Management Responsibilities Recruitment & Retention Recruit, interview, and hire technical assemblers . Partner with recruiters to clearly communicate candidate criteria. Coach team members on effective interviewing and hiring practices. Monitor turnover, identify root causes, and implement retention improvements. Employee & Team Development Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis. Create, validate, and maintain training curriculum within the area of responsibility. Coach and mentor Machine Support staff to deliver operational excellence. Develop and manage succession plans for the Machine Support and Machine Shop functions. Performance Management Establish clear, measurable performance goals and objectives aligned to operational metrics, timelines, training, attendance, and development goals. Gather feedback from Workcell Managers, Business Unit Managers, peers, and team members to support development discussions. Provide continuous coaching, counseling, and recognition to team members. Conduct timely and professional performance evaluations. Drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics and organizational objectives. Coordinate activities of large teams and maintain focus during critical situations. Ensure recognition and rewards are administered fairly and consistently. Communication Create forums for the exchange of ideas and information within the department. Communicate clearly and professionally using appropriate verbal and written methods. Encourage open dialogue and input from team members. Adapt communication style to meet the needs of diverse team members. Technical Management Responsibilities Oversee the maintenance management program , including repair parts, preventive maintenance, feeder maintenance, and support equipment maintenance. Plan and coordinate technical staff activities to support production needs. Develop and maintain department reports and records. Supervise planning and execution of line moves and production builds . Schedule equipment vendors for installation, repairs, upgrades, and updates. Ensure work instructions and procedures are efficient, effective, and non‑redundant. Identify and implement best‑in‑class practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service by resolving issues quickly and effectively. Lead by example and promote accountability across the team. Utilize Jabil's Advanced Engineering Group to support production objectives. Develop and implement performance measurement systems where applicable. Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Comply with all company security policies and procedures. How Will You Get Here? Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred. 3+ years of experience in supervising teams in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Hands‑on experience with a technical assembly environment and processes. Strong knowledge of: Process optimization Statistical Process Control (SPC) Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) Demand Flow Technology (line balancing) Design of Experiments (DOE) Working knowledge of engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering as applicable final assembly operations. Strong leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and team‑building skills.
