  • Must successfully pass initial and random drug screenings.
  • May require step stools or ladders.
  • You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Who will you be working with? Vapor Stone Rail Systems is a part of WABTEC Corp and has been in Plattsburgh NY since 1998. We offer a wide range of products and services for locomotives including Doors, Door operator systems along with an array of aftermarket parts and services. How will you make a difference? As a member of the team at Vapor Stone Rail Systems, you will be responsible for performing electro-mechanical production assembly work according to engineering drawings, product specifications and quality standards. Assembler is responsible for his/her own quality of work and must meet company and ISO standards. Must be safety conscious. Must be able to read assembly drawings. Must have mechanical skills. Must have advanced knowledge of the use of hand tools. Must be self-motivated with ability to work independently with no guidance. Must be able to follow written work instructions/procedures. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to acquire materials for specific tasks. Willingness to adapt to change. Must be able to complete task on time. Must be able to collaborate within a team and cross functionally. Must be able to interpret quality requirements. Must have basic understanding of electrical test equipment (megger, hi-pot, multi-meter, etc...) Must be detail oriented. Must be able to train new employees in accordance with work standards/instructions. Basic knowledge of Microsoft office suite & basic computer functions. What do we want to know about you? REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Qualified candidates should have knowledge of mechanical/ electrical assembly techniques. You should also have basic computer skills including Microsoft office. EDUCATION: Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
