Responsibilities
- Legal Advisory:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and disputeresolution across SEA jurisdictions.

- Conduct compliance training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Corporate Governance:
- Assist in corporate secretarial duties, including maintaining statutory records, filings, and board-related activities for SEA entities.
- Support governance initiatives and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess legal risks in business strategies, projects, and operations, providing practical solutions to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to support strategic initiatives and business growth in the region.
- Internal Business
- Member of the SEA Office of Risk Management and managing risk within SEA
- Member of the SEA Legal Team and foster a can-do, collaborative and engaged team
- Liaising with and support other SEA Support Services functions (e.g. HR,IT, Finance)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in private practice and as corporate legal counsel , preferably with3 years in private practice within the engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors in Southeast Asia.
- Strong understanding of commercial law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
