Job Description REPORTING TO: Food Services Supervisor/General Services Supervisor SUMMARY OF DUTIES Under the direction of the Food Services Supervisor or General Services Supervisor, the Cook is responsible for the overall preparation of all foods, provides support and guidance to other dietary team members and monitors meal service in the dining room. This includes but not limited to meals are attractive and nutritious, food preparation according to Extendicare's policies and procedures, menus and work routines, while ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. The Cook is responsible for the operation of the Dietary Department and the supervision of Dietary Aide staff in the absence of the Supervisor.
