Responsibilities

- Lead discussions and brainstorming sessions with clients to determine the risk reduction measures to be implemented;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) membership required
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in product certification or safety engineering within the industrial automation, robotics, or hardware manufacturing sectors.
- Standards Mastery: Deep expertise in ISO 12100, ISO 13849, IEC 60204-1, IEC 61010-1, ANSI/A3 R15.06, ISO 14120 and ISO 10218.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EU Machinery Directive.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in safety evaluation tools (e.g., SISTEMA), programming of safety controllers and requirement management software.
- Certification: Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) is a strong asset.
- Rigorous Analysis: A meticulous approach to identifying safety gaps and ensuring robust mitigation strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to drive compliance without sacrificing innovation.
