Engineering Technician (nuclear)

About the role

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR) in the ASSISTANT NUCLEAR ENGINEERING AND PLANNING MANAGER of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. To qualify for the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying various nuclear engineering methods, principles, and phases to solve complex issues of nuclear propulsion plants. Experience utilizing equipment specifications to determine requirements applicable to nuclear systems. Experience procuring materials needed to avoid delays and shortages. Experience performing assigned duties through written or oral communication.
