Positioned at the center of the Bush School's mission, y ou would work closely with the school's academic leadership, including department heads, the Executive Associate Dean, and the Associate Deans for Graduate and Undergraduate Education, while also partnering with staff across the Bush School in both College Station and Washington, DC. This is a significant leadership role with broad supervisory and organizational responsibility. You will work in close collaboration with academic partners, focusing on strategy, team building, and strengthening the student‑services infrastructure. It's ideal for someone who brings both operational excellence and vision for how to evolve the student experience in support of the school's future direction. Beyond campus, you would cultivate partnerships with employers, alumni, and public‑service organizations to expand opportunities for students to make real impact. Some overnight travel required. Qualification s Required Education and Experience Master's degree in field appropriate to position responsibilities. Six years' experience in career services, student affairs, recruiting, admissions, human resource development/adult education, public administration, and/or international affairs. A Well-Qualified Candidate Will Also Possess: Doctoral degree in career development, human resource development, higher education, adult education, or public/international affairs. More than six years' experience in higher education, supervisory experience. Experience in an academic setting, including proven experience with graduate student career services, student services, alumni services or recruitment and retention. Proven experience with implementing professional development programs for graduate student programs. Knowledge of academic programs and graduate-level student services in public and/or international affairs or related fields. Strong problem solving, diplomacy, communication (both oral and written), executive and leadership coaching/advising, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills; Knowledge of academic programs and student support services; knowledge of student development, career services, alumni affairs, experiential learning, curricular programming, and student organizations; Ability to develop, direct, deliver and assess student academic and support services including presentations to prospective, current, and former students, as well as state and national audiences in associated career fields; Familiarity with word processing, data management and analysis, and presentation software. Opportunities to Contribute Administrative - Perform administrative duties for students' services, including but not limited to: Provide overall strategic guidance, direction, and support for the enhancement of school-wide admissions and recruitment, career services, leadership development, and student services; Prepare annual budget, establish and evaluate program goals and objectives, and hire and supervise support staff, including professional staff, graduate assistants and student workers; Engage in senior-level management meetings, discussions, and partnerships to ensure Bush School student service programs are in line with overall school initiatives.
