  • Professional certification (national, regional or state)
  • Two years of in-field professional employment
  • Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award
  • Documentation of research and publication in the field
  • Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military
  • Possesses an earned bachelor's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:
  • Professional certification (national, regional or state) in the field
  • Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military.
  • ITSP 135 Course Standard:
  • A qualified faculty member teaching ITSP 135 meets the Information Technology Support (ITSP) program standard (above) and holds a valid, non-expired CompTIA A+ certification or CompTIA Network+ certification.
  • ITSP 215 Course Standard:
  • Position requires sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of the College students and employees.

Job Type: Part-time Classification: Adjunct faculty Salary Range: $47.35 Per Contact Hour Reports To: Department/Program Chair *All Applications must include a Cover Letter and an Unofficial Transcript Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided. Major Responsibilities: Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives. Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods. Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements. Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular). Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations. Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments. This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.
