Supervisory Financial Management Analyst

About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING DIVISION of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring financial transactions are in compliance with policies and instructions (i.e. Appropriation laws, Financial Management Regulations (FMR), etc.); 2) Completing and submitting financial reports, budget exhibits, and/or data calls; 3) Interpreting financial policies and providing guidance and instruction; 4) Supervising or leading a team of employees (i.e. assigning work, monitoring performance, awarding and disciplining personnel, etc.); 5) Monitoring/reviewing labor transactions to ensure they are supported by Key Supporting Documents to meet audit requirements. **Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.** Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series This is a Financial Management Level (III) certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines. Employees that do not exercise their return rights within five years are no longer eligible for return rights and will be treated as a local hire. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
