Business Development Manager, Commercial Lines

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across general insurance product lines.
• Formulate and execute strategies to meet premium growth targets and expand market share.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with agents and corporate clients to support retention and new business acquisition.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities and refine business strategies accordingly.
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Assess and underwrite commercial and industrial risks within delegated authority, following underwriting guidelines and treaty conditions; escalate and recommend cases that exceed authority limits.
• Prepare competitive, compliant quotations for agents and clients, and review renewal terms by adjusting premiums, coverage conditions, and policy wording where necessary.
• Coordinate or conduct risk surveys when required to support accurate underwriting decisions.

Requirements

• Preferably with minimum 5 years working experience;
• Must have Certificate In General Insurance (CGI);
