Senior Electrical Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D electrical models in AVEVA E3D.
• Perform modelling of major electrical equipment including Switchgear Transformers Distribution Boards (DB) Marshalling Cabinets / MCTs
• Model electrical cable trays, cable ladders, and cable ways in accordance with project requirements.
• Model EIT equipment including Junction Boxes (JBs)Lighting fixtures Power sockets and outlets
• Develop and maintain 3D model libraries during project execution.
• Generate Material Take-Off (MTO) reports for cable tray and bulk electrical items.
• Prepare EIT support modelling and EIT isometric drawings for construction.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve design clashes and technical queries.
• Support model reviews at 30%, 60%, and 90% project milestones.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for HV, MV, and LV electrical systems.
• Develop switchboard, distribution board, and lighting SLDs.
• Prepare cable block diagrams, termination diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.
• Produce lighting layouts and lighting wiring drawings.
• Prepare underground (U/G) and above-ground (A/G) cable routing layouts.
• Develop electrical equipment arrangement drawings.
• Prepare earthing and grounding layouts.
• Prepare EIT installation drawings covering power, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Prepare heat tracing isometric drawings and associated calculations.
• Develop MCT sizing calculations and schedules using Roxtec software.
• Prepare cable schedules, DB loading schedules, and bulk material take-offs.
• Perform lighting calculations using Dialux.
• Perform heat trace calculations using Compu Trace software.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Electrical Design within Offshore, Marine, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Energy projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with AVEVA E3D for electrical modelling.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Experience in preparation of electrical design deliverables and construction drawings.
• Familiar with electrical systems including HV, MV, and LV distribution.
• Knowledge of cable tray design, cable routing, grounding, lighting, and heat tracing systems.
• Experience with Dialux, Roxtec MCT software, and Compu Trace will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Available for immediate or short-notice deployment preferred.

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to support an offshore project based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical design and 3D modelling activities, including preparation of engineering drawings, cable routing, equipment layouts, and interdisciplinary coordination using AVEVA E3D and other engineering design software.
