Financial Accountant II

Responsibilities

• SOPs, Procedures, Forms, Other Documentation : Creates and modifies Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Finance Office as directed by the CFO and Accounting Services Supervisor.
• Quality Assurance & Safety: Actively participates in quality assurance and safety programs, cross training, and skill development as applicable.
• Additional Position Details:
• This position is required to work onsite during normal business hours M-F 8 am to 5 pm.
• TVMDL is located on the campus of Texas A&M University (TAMU). Parking permits are available from TAMU at the expense of the employee.
• TVMDL is considered an essential component of the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) and remains operational for a number of "open holidays" in which overtime or compensatory time may be earned.

Requirements

• Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience.
• Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Preferred Education and Experience:
• Two years of business office experience.
• Familiarity with Texas A&M University System applications, operations and policies including FAMIS/Canopy, AggieBuy, Concur/Emburse, Origami, and Laserfiche.
• Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Planning and organizational skills.
