About the role

Workplace Safety and Health Framework Development and Implementation: Manage the implementation of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) frameworks by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct monthly dialogue sessions with EHS team members and ensures convening of monthly corporate EHS meeting Design and implement programs to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. Monitor health and safety metrics, analyzing trends to identify areas for improvement. Stakeholder Management Develop relationships, engage relevant stakeholders and facilitate alignment of stakeholders' and project objectives EHS Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive EHS strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Lead and mentor Project teams fostering a proactive safety and environmental culture. Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on EHS-related risks, opportunities, and initiatives. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, standards and other requirements that the Organization subscribes to. Conduct regular audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental harm. Training and Development: Oversee the design of EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and leadership. Promote EHS awareness and accountability at all levels of the organization. Ensure training programs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting: Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and external stakeholders on EHS matters. Prepare and present EHS performance reports to executive leadership and the board of directors. Collaborate with internal teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations. Continuous Improvement: Benchmark organizational EHS performance against industry standards and best practices. Drive innovation in EHS practices through the adoption of new technologies and methodologies. Identify and implement opportunities for cost-effective improvements in EHS programs.
