JOB SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health Program Manager is responsible to develop, manage, and oversee the affiliate's integrated behavioral health program in collaboration with the Clinical Services Department. This position will also provide direct patient care in-person and via telehealth. As a member of the clinical services team, the Behavioral Health Program Manager will work directly with the licensed and non-licensed medical staff to assess, treat, and refer patients for behavioral health needs through a team-based, whole person care approach. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES -Work collaboratively with the Clinical Services team on behavioral health program improvement, , implementation, and expansion. -Develop standards of care, protocols and policies for behavioral health care provided within our affiliate for PPCCC's Medical Standards and Guidelines. -Partner with outside behavioral health and related organizations to facilitate timely referrals and support networks. -Manage efficient processes specific to PPCCC for identifying and treating patients in need of behavioral health services that integrates with the other medical services provided at the affiliate. -Manage and maintain a routine system of on-going training, supervision, and quality assurance related to behavioral health for unlicensed and licensed behavioral health providers. -Establishes and maintains appropriate quality standards for patient care in behavioral health. Work in collaboration with the Clinical Quality and Risk Manager to develop, and maintain audits to track compliance. -Explore and develop opportunities for group psychoeducation and interventions. -Identify, anticipate, and analyze mental health service needs of the affiliate; develop new behavioral health services or modify and improve existing programs. -Hire and onboard additional behavioral health provider(s) as the program expands. -Reviews legislative changes for impact on existing program(s); advises the CMO on policy and legislative matters concerning mental health services. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES -Provide direct patient care including behavioral health screenings, treatment, and referrals to community partners. -Serve as a clinical resource to licensed and non-licensed staff with respect to behavioral health support and resources. This includes serving in a consultative role with other medical providers regarding behavioral health issues for patients with co-occurring mental health disorders, particularly regarding risk review, diagnosis, and integration of care. -Maintain licensure and job knowledge by attending conferences, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional societies. -Additional responsibilities related to the role as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Supervise behavioral providers, interns, and students as assigned. -Provide consultation and training for staff to ensure compliance with PPCCC standards of care and all legal/ethical obligations pertaining to behavioral health. -Responsible for addressing all personnel issues in a fair and efficient manner.
