Procurement Engineer

About the role

Job Responsibilities - Support supplier sourcing activities, including identifying and evaluating suppliers for fabrication, integration, and contract manufacturing services in alignment with business needs. - Assist in supplier qualification and development to ensure reliable supply and meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. - Participate in cost analysis and negotiation with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing for materials and services. - Support the preparation and execution of commercial agreements and purchase terms with suppliers. - Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to define specifications, ensure compliance with quality standards, and support supplier quality improvement initiatives. - Contribute to cost-saving and cost-reduction initiatives, including value engineering and continuous improvement activities. - Support implementation of operational excellence initiatives such as GEMBA, Kaizen, and VAVE programs. - Maintain accurate procurement data and support planning activities using systems such as SAP and MRP. - Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. --- Job Requirements - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within manufacturing environments (ODM/OEM/CM) preferred - Diploma holders with at least 3 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. - Basic knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost analysis. - Familiarity with ERP is an advantage. - Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills - A proactive team player with willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
