Department: Capital Projects Start Here. Grow Here. Stay Here. Are you an experienced construction inspection professional with a background in utility infrastructure projects? In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of inspectors overseeing Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects involving potable water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and stormwater systems. You will help ensure construction activities comply with contract requirements, utility standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. If you are passionate about quality construction, regulatory compliance, and developing high-performing teams, we encourage you to apply. Lead, assign, and oversee the daily workload and performance of construction inspection staff Monitor project progress, provide technical guidance, and assist inspectors with complex construction-related issues Develop and implement inspection programs, work plans, and quality control standards Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate inspection staff to support professional development and certification requirements Ensure project documentation, inspection reports, and deliverables are accurately maintained in eBuilder Verify utility, stormwater, and CIP construction projects comply with contract documents, SWPPP requirements, BMPs, and applicable codes Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as County utility standards Review construction and as-built drawings, provide comments, and coordinate utility shutdowns and system tie-ins Attend pre-construction meetings and perform field inspections to verify construction quality, safety, and project completion requirements Investigate and resolve citizen concerns while coordinating with project managers, contractors, utility operations, and other stakeholders Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. About You
