Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience at a broadcast television station.

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Attributes: Ability to handle multiple tasks under high pressure while maintaining a collaborative, team-first approach to all assignments.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Lifting & Moving: Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment or studio flooring materials weighing up to 50 lbs .
  • Technical Mobility: Ability to climb ladders and reach overhead to adjust studio lighting and equipment.
  • Extended Shifts: Ability to remain stationary (sitting or standing) for the duration of a live broadcast, often 3 to 5 hours at a time.
  • Sensory Acuity: Must have excellent hearing for audio mixing and clear vision for monitoring multiple video feeds and color-coding.
  • Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours; early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays are required. KTBC operates 24/7/365.
