The principal responsibility of The Area Manager will be to provide an interface with key target customers specifically in the Gynaecology field of the Women's & Men's Health business unit. The preferred candidate would demonstrate the ability to achieve sales targets and develop relationships with key target customers. The territory involved will incorporate all hospitals nationwide. Principal Responsibilities This is a sales role and involves presenting, demonstrating and securing orders. Working on your own initiative to see through opportunities and convert them to sales is essential. Capability to develop and secure sales in a nationwide territory. Develop relationships with key customers into lasting business partnerships. Achievement of sales plans on a quarterly and annual basis. Assist customers with clinical, technical and commercial enquiries. Business planning and implementation throughout area of responsibility. Development of new business opportunities and determination of new clients and market potential. Systematic collection, presentation and interpretation of market and competitor information. Continuous interaction with key principals. Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace. Implementation of new product launches and other corporate activities within area of responsibility. Attendance and organisational support of relevant conferences and meetings specific to the Business Unit. Key Result Areas Measured on ability to achieve an annual sales target (measured monthly, quarterly, and annually) Gross Margin assessment (measured on a month-by-month basis). Pipeline generation (KPI measured monthly). Pipeline conversion to sales (KPI measured monthly). Development of key product portfolio. Team engagement (measured annually through survey & quarterly through informal assessment). Reporting responsibilities in sales forecasting & demand planning accuracy (measured monthly). Customer engagement & Market Presence performance Experience & Background 3 years' medical sales experience in a hospital environment. Experience in the Urology specialty is beneficial but not essential A clinical background would also be an advantage. Experience working in operating theatres. Ability to build relationships with KOL's including surgeons, clinical nurse managers, & procurement Capacity to communicate well and deliver a positive image of the company and its products. Have the necessary education and practical experience to deal with the complex medical device technologies in a clinical background. Full driver's License. Knowledge including qualifications Significant demonstrable knowledge in the field of Sales & Marketing within the Irish Medical Device market. Industry knowledge & a minimum of 3 years' experience in the medical device industry would be preferable. A 'Driver' personality with the ability to build a sales pipeline and deliver growth.
