Service Technician (Automotive)

About the role

Perform inspection, troubleshooting, dismantling, assembly, testing, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Carry out overhaul, installation, and replacement of heavy vehicle components, including engines, gearboxes, transfer cases, axles, cabins, and winches. Execute retrofit and modification works according to technical drawings and Statements of Work (SOW). Utilize electronic parts catalogues, after-sales systems, and service documentation to identify spare parts and repair procedures. Operate specialised tools and equipment to ensure efficient and accurate repairs. Adhere to OEM service manuals and manufacturer repair standards. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using OEM diagnostic tools and implement appropriate corrective actions. Conduct on-site servicing and repairs at customer locations, including Army camps. Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition. Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality standards, and housekeeping practices. The Requirements Minimum NTC 3 certification or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles, with expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Possession of a Class 3 Driving Licence is preferred.
