Job Summary The PRN Optometry Assistant plays a key role in supporting a seamless experience for patients by working closely with the Optometrist. The Assistant is the first person to engage patients and upkeep the back-end of the program. Job Responsibilities As needed position. Initiates the eye care experience by greeting patients warmly Ensures patient history and pre-test data are collected for doctor prior to exam Establishes efficient patient flow to minimize patient wait times Oversees daily schedule to maximize appointment access Ensures clinic areas and instrumentation meet quality compliance standards Monitors contact lens trials, inventory and orders, to ensure timely delivery to patients Manages insurance authorizations/billing and patient communication Works with other medical providers to ensure a seamless patient experience Committed to patient satisfaction, providing excellent service and delivering an outstanding eye care experience Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School graduate and/or completion of vocational training program in healthcare Minimum 1 year of employment in customer service related position Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
