We are seeking a highly skilled Workato Integration Engineer with proven hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade automation workflows ("recipes"). The ideal candidate will act as our core integration expert, leveraging the Workato iPaaS platform to connect disparate systems, automate complex business processes, and eliminate operational friction. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless data flow, diagnosing system errors, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation. Recipe Development & Automation Architecture Advanced Recipe Design: Proven capability building complex, multi-step Workato recipes using conditional logic, lookup tables, and custom error handling loops. Custom Connectors: Experience extending platform capabilities by building custom HTTP/SDK connectors within Workato to integrate legacy or proprietary systems. Event-Driven Triggers: Proficiency setting up real-time, webhook-based, and scheduled batch triggers optimized for high-volume data payloads. CRM & ERP Ecosystem Synchronization Data Pipelines: Deep expertise mapping, transforming, and syncing critical business data between HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite, and other enterprise CRM/ERP platforms. Process Automation: Experience automating foundational cross-platform workflows, such as Lead-to-Cash, Opportunity-to-Order, and customer master data synchronization. Troubleshooting & Platform Maintenance Root Cause Analysis: Strong skills diagnosing and resolving payload formatting errors, API rate limit breaches, and multi-system synchronization failures. Exception Handling: Track record implementing robust retry frameworks, dead-letter queues, and automated alerting systems within Workato to minimize downtime. Documentation & Best Practices Knowledge Management: Responsibility for authoring and maintaining detailed architectural blueprints, schema mappings, and runbooks in our team knowledge base. Governance: Compliance with enterprise integration standards, including naming conventions, recipe version control, and data privacy policies. Technical Skills Core Protocols: Complete mastery of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, webhooks, and secure authentication methods like OAuth 2.0. Data & Scripting: Competency in SQL for data querying and basic scripting skills (Python, Ruby, or JavaScript) for advanced data manipulation inside recipes. Multi-Platform Context (Preferred): Foundational knowledge or prior migration experience with alternative integration tools like Boomi, MuleSoft, or Celigo. Experience Requirements iPaaS Longevity: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience working as an Integration Engineer, Middleware Developer, or Enterprise Automation Specialist. Dedicated Workato Expertise: At least 5 years of continuous, hands-on experience specifically architecting and managing production environments within the Workato platform. CRM & ERP Domain Background: Demonstrated track record of successfully deploying and managing live, bidirectional integrations connecting HubSpot, Salesforce, and NetSuite ecosystems. Enterprise Lifecycle Management: Proven experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for integrations, from initial requirement discovery and mapping to deployment, testing, and production support. High-Volume Data Handling: Experience managing high-throughput data pipelines, including a solid understanding of how to design recipes that handle API rate limits, large payloads, and batch processing without failure.
