Clinical Oncology Dietitian - Oncology Services - Per Diem

The Oncology Service Department at the Elliot Hospital takes great pride in serving their community, patients, and families. Our team observes best practices and strive to attain the best outcomes possible for their patients. If you are a Clinical Dietician with strong clinical experience/skills and you love to care for patients, come and join our incredible team! Evaluates, assesses, and plans clinical nutrition care specific to adult outpatients with cancer. Provides nutritional information to staff, physicians, students, and the community individually and through group programs.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive nutrition assessments in accordance with licensure, scope of training and specialty and organizational standards
• Clearly communicates recommendations to the patient and clinical team through medical record documentation and other communication mechanisms
• Conducts patient and community education programs and support group presentations related to nutrition and cancer
• Researches and maintains knowledge base for latest developments in nutrition for oncology patients and for cancer prevention

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, Required Major course of study in human nutrition, nutrition education, food and nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, or food systems management
• Previous experience in a clinical setting with some cancer patients, Required
• Registration with the American Dietetic Association, and RD registration with the State of New Hampshire, Required
• Excellent clinical documentation, and successful usage of EMR systems, Preferred
