Come shape the future of education with us. Compass is on a mission to make the school day more productive, more impactful and more enjoyable. As a global provider of School Management Information Systems (MIS), we support thousands of schools across Australia, Ireland and the UK every day to help learning thrive. We're looking for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to join our Sydney team. If you love bringing people together through well-run events and take pride in making sure every detail is taken care of, we'd love to hear from you. About the Role & Team Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of Compass-hosted events, and our participation in major industry conferences and exhibitions. This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing or events career who wants hands-on experience coordinating logistics, managing vendors and supporting campaigns that directly contribute to business growth - while also keeping the team's day-to-day marketing operations running smoothly. You'll work closely with Sales, Customer Success and the wider marketing team across Australia, the UK and Ireland to ensure every event runs smoothly and delivers a memorable experience for schools. What you'll do: Event Coordination Maintain a calendar of industry events for the Australian market and keep it up to date in our shared global events calendar, co-owned with the UK&IE Events Coordinator, while helping identify relevant exhibition and sponsorship opportunities. Coordinate Compass' participation in third-party events, including exhibitor portal submissions and coordinating with contractors to ensure deadlines are met. Maintain project management tools and create clear event briefs and run sheets to support on-site teams at external industry gatherings. Coordinate the logistics for Compass-hosted events, including venue sourcing, catering, audiovisual needs, invitations and registrations. Liaise with speakers, presenters and vendors to ensure flawless event execution, and support event set-up and pack-down. Deliver marketing commitments linked to our partnership and conference agreements, and support event promotion and follow-up campaigns to maximise engagement. Post-Event Reporting & Lead Management Collaborate with Sales to ensure event information is accurately recorded and promptly updated in Monday.com. Track event metrics including registrations, attendance and pipeline, ensuring post-event reports are completed within the designated timelines. Manage event leads in Zoho - entering lead details, checking whether a lead already exists, and ensuring it sits with the right person to follow up, so leads are tracked promptly to support ROI reporting. Admin, Merch & Office Support Maintain and organise marketing assets and materials in Google Drive and Zoho WorkDrive. Keep an updated inventory of merchandise and promotional materials, ensuring they are fresh and relevant for upcoming events. Coordinate with suppliers in Australia and internationally for event merchandise and promotional materials. Pick, pack and dispatch collateral and merchandise - preparing and sending boxes to our interstate offices and events around the country. Coordinate and order business cards for the team. Finance & Marketing Support Manage the marketing team expenses card, adding transactions to ProSpend and uploading invoices. Consolidate and allocate marketing expenses to the right team (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Customer Success), and assist in monitoring event and campaign expenditure. Support CRM list management while ensuring ongoing data hygiene, and maintain marketing project trackers. Collaborate with the global marketing team on collaborative projects and create simple campaign assets (like social media graphics and email headers) using Canva as needed. Act as the primary liaison for internal marketing inquiries, effectively triaging as needed. About You You're organised, proactive and highly detail-oriented.
