Purchasing Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships to support consistent performance and on-time delivery to Polaris distribution facilities.
• Review system-recommended purchase quantities and collaborate with demand planning analysts to improve purchasing accuracy.
• Approve purchase orders, monitor delivery status, and expedite orders as needed to support fill rate goals.
• Resolve backorder issues in alignment with service level and customer support objectives .
• Execute supplier cost and inventory reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate cost, lead time, minimum order quantities, and economic order quantities to support business objectives .
• Analyze and resolve supplier invoicing, purchase order, and related discrepancy issues.
• Proactively identify and communicate urgent supplier , delivery, or purchasing issues to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience managing the purchase order lifecycle.
• Strong aptitude for solving problems and improving processes.
• Strong ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
