Position Summary The Accounting Clerk will report directly to the Controller and support the daily accounting operations of the Company. This role is responsible for accounts payable processing, vendor management, payment execution, account reconciliations, and other general accounting functions. Job Responsibilities - Process and code vendor invoices accurately and timely. - Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for payment approval. - Prepare weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire, and check payments. - Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation. - Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. - Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheet and expense accounts. - Post journal entries and maintain supporting schedules. - Assist in maintaining fixed asset records and capital expenditure tracking. - Support inventory-related accounting activities as needed. - Monitor employee expense reimbursements and company credit card transactions. - Assist in preparation of financial reports and schedules. - Support external audits and financial reviews. - Assist with sales tax, 1099 reporting, and other compliance requirements. - Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller. Skills / Qualifications - Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. - 1-3 years of accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred. - Experience with ERP systems such as Quickbooks or Fishbowl preferred. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
