About the role

You will serve as a Welding Worker in the Programs and Industries Department of NAVAL CONSOLIDATED BRIG MIRAMAR. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) Leading, instructing and mentoring personnel in the welding field within a structured environment; 2) Monitoring blocks of instruction provided by assistant instructors for compliance with established curricula; 3) Preparing performance based objectives and outlines in accordance with the national trade curriculum guidelines (i.e. U.S. Department of Labor apprenticeship programs); and 4) Preparing budgets and requests for metal and welding shop operations and obtaining supplies and equipment through local purchasing procedures.
