Responsibilities
- Create and publish engaging, platform-specific content across Sky Sports football social channels and main brand accounts, tailoring content, tone, and storytelling style to suit each social platform.
- Work closely with Content Production and Design teams to commission and produce social-first assets, including graphics, thumbnails, and vertical video content.
- Lead day-to-day publishing output across all football social accounts, ensuring content is timely, accurate, and consistent.

- Demonstrate strong editorial judgement and contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches to support the ongoing evolution of Sky Sports across emerging social platforms.
- Maintain strong awareness of football news, trends, and competitor activity, with particular focus on the Women's Super League (WSL), Premier League, and EFL.
Requirements
- Essential criteria:
- Strong knowledge and passion for football, particularly the WSL and women's football, alongside all major competitions covered by Sky Sports.
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms, social video formats, and evolving audience consumption habits, combined with an awareness of emerging platforms, technology, and digital innovation trends.
- Proven experience managing and publishing content for large-scale social media accounts and communities in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and live content demands.
- Demonstrable passion for football storytelling and digital sports content, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly creative, proactive, and motivated approach to content creation, acting as a collaborative team player with strong adaptability and initiative.
- Comfortable embracing new technology, workflows, and industry change, with a strong work ethic and willingness to contribute across multiple areas of the business when required.

The role requires close collaboration with the wider Social Media team, alongside Editorial, Video, Sky Sports News and Football Content teams. Reporting to a Social Media Output Editor, this position will play a key role in helping Sky Sports remain the sports media brand of choice for under-35 audiences and diverse communities, while supporting audience growth, engagement and commercial opportunities.
