About the role
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Richmond invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the 2027-2028 academic year. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to liberal arts teaching by educating students across the curriculum, contributing to our core mathematics program, and offering upper‑level electives in their area of expertise. The position carries a 3‑2 undergraduate teaching load. We expect candidates to maintain an active research program with the potential to involve undergraduates in meaningful research experiences. Faculty members are expected to serve on department and university committees and are encouraged to participate in campus-wide initiatives supporting our strategic priorities of academic excellence, belonging and community, and experiential learning. New faculty can participate in a year-long collaborative mentoring program and are also supported by programming developed by the Faculty Hub ( https://facultyhub.richmond.edu/ ).
