As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack - from electrons to tokens - to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster. We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that - with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI. We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved - people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services. If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe. About This Role: Join Crusoe Energy as a Level III Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will execute the transformation of customer requirements into production-ready 3D models and detailed drawings for modular integrated electronics buildings and standalone power distribution equipment. You will take a lead role in the heating, cooling, plumbing, and overall mechanical systems design, transitioning our focus toward advanced air and liquid cooling infrastructures for engineered-to-order data centers. You will focus on creating precise fabrication drawings and ensuring designs are functional and compliant with regulatory and commercial codes. This position requires a collaborative engineer with strong 3D modeling skills, a solid understanding of mechanical design related to modular buildings, and specific expertise in data center thermal management. What You'll Be Working On: HVAC & Cooling Systems: Develop comprehensive heat load calculations for both air and liquid cooling systems tailored to high-density compute environments. Mechanical Design & Documentation: Specify high-efficiency cooling equipment, pumps, heat exchangers, and chillers for modular integrated buildings and critical power distribution equipment. Systems Design & P&IDs: Size piping networks, specify valve isolation and monitoring systems, and develop detailed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for mechanical and plumbing systems. Technical Documentation: Develop specification sheets, bills of materials (BOMs), detailed assembly instructions, and manufacturing documents with a high standard for accuracy. Code Compliance: Ensure product designs comply with regulatory requirements, commercial codes, customer specifications, and engineering standards. Cross-Functional & Structural Support: Contribute directly to structural and architectural design efforts, ensuring mechanical systems integrate seamlessly into modular/factory-integrated data centers. Quality Assurance: Participate in model reviews and drawing checks as part of the engineering design release process to ensure quality and design accuracy, and assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for mechanical systems. Manufacturing Efficiency: Participate in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Excellence (DFx) reviews to support cost reduction and enhance manufacturing efficiency. Lifecycle Management: Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) as part of product release and lifecycle management, coordinating with cross-functional teams for smooth implementation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to support customer inquiries and resolve technical problems. What You'll Bring to the Team: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline. Experience: 4-6 years of experience in mechanical design, with an emphasis on data center cooling, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with 3D modeling software, specifically SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM, to manage complex designs and assemblies. Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards (specifically TC 9.9), thermal guidelines for data processing environments, and a working understanding of BMS/EPMS integration. First Principles: Ability to solve engineering problems, including thermodynamic and fluid flow challenges, utilizing a first principles approach to design and analysis. Code Application: Working knowledge of building codes, energy codes, and UL listings, with the ability to interpret and apply them to designs. Detail Orientation: Meticulous commitment to detail ensuring precision in design, analysis, and documentation. Safety and Compliance: Th
