Job Summary: As an Associate Manager, Data Operations, you will own the day-to-day performance of a team of Data Associates across our classification, attribution, and product-catalog workflows. You will sit where human judgment meets machine learning-turning targets into daily execution, coaching your associates from task-executors into data-driven critical thinkers, and acting as the first line of defense for quality, throughput, and SLAs. You will operate within the operating plan set by your Manager, run it relentlessly on the floor, and surface the insights and improvement ideas that make the plan better. We are looking for a hands-on operations leader and a force-multiplier for the Manager of Data Operations. Primary Responsibilities and Impact Drivers: (not limited to) Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 15-20 Data Associates responsible for classification, attribution, and product catalog management. Monitor and manage team performance against KPIs, including throughput, accuracy, and quality benchmarks. Serve as the first point of escalation for workflow or process-related issues. Conduct regular quality reviews and provide actionable feedback to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Identify workflow inefficiencies and partner with managers, automation teams, and governance specialists to improve processes. Coordinate team scheduling, task assignment, and workload balancing to meet daily and weekly targets. Ensure compliance with governance standards, documentation, and reporting requirements. Train new hires and ensure associates are up to date on classification guidelines, tools, and processes. Report team status, coverage, productivity, and quality metrics to management. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Proactively identify and address problems before they escalate, while recognizing opportunities for efficiency, automation, and quality improvements. Role Mandate - How you will move the needle You start your day in your team's real-time utilization dashboards and queue metrics. You read the data to anticipate bottlenecks before they form, check the health of in-flight work, and make rapid, high-judgment calls on how to reallocate associates across queues to protect SLAs. Through the morning, you are on the floor with your associates. You run quality reviews, give specific, example-based feedback (what, why, and the rule behind it), and coach your team to do root-cause analysis on their own defect and throughput data so the same error doesn't come back twice. In the afternoon, you connect outward: you partner with Quality, Training, Governance, and your peer Associate Managers to close process gaps, pilot improvements within your workflows, and feed clear, evidence-backed recommendations up to your Manager for anything that needs a roadmap-level decision. You keep the "voice of the client" in view, validating that your team's output holds up in the real world. You end the day by reviewing throughput and quality, recognizing your best performers, and making sure your cross-trained, fungible team is positioned to clear tomorrow's volume. Success Measures: Accuracy: Team maintains 98%+ accuracy in ad classification, attribution, and catalog updates. Productivity: Team consistently processes assigned workloads against defined productivity targets and SLA requirements. Quality Assurance: Less than 2% of team output requires rework due to errors. Team Development: Regular coaching and training lead to measurable improvement in associate performance. Process Improvement: Implements at least two documented workflow or tool improvements per quarter. Collaboration: Builds strong working relationships with peers in automation, governance, and data quality functions. Short-Term Deliverables (First 90 Days): Baseline your team's skill sets and identify single points of failure and coverage gaps across the media types you support. Stand up a rigorous, data-driven feedback loop with your associates using specific defect examples and root-cause analysis ahead of weekly syncs. Deeply understand your production queues and utilization metrics to optimize the balance between Core Production (value-add) and Administrative Shrinkage within your team. Long-Term Deliverables (6 months - 1 year and beyond): Establis
