Registered Nurse, PRN Resource Pool - Staffing Collaborative

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

• TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Nursing Patient Education (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency in providing patient education in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Evidence-Based Practice (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully search for evidence to answer clinical questions. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.

Requirements

• -Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program (or equivalent experience)
• -2+ years adult inpatient RN experience
• Required Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):
• -Registered Nurse
• -BLS, ACLS, and PALS .

Consistently ensures a comprehensive continuum of care plan in collaboration with the health care team. Demonstrates and role models effective communication and conflict resolution skills. Ensures evidence-based care and continuously monitors patient outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to Board of Nursing standards. Floats across entities to fulfill requirements of the role. Job Type: Resource Pool working Per Diem hours covering shifts most needed by the unit. *Premium Pay $65/hr *Medical Insurance benefits are NOT offered. *Work on Per Diem assignments. *Must work 432 hours in a calendar year (Maximum of 1560 hours per year). Locations Available: VUH and at least 1 regional entity (VBCH, VTHH, VWCH) Units Available: Adult inpatient setting (ICU, Stepdown, and/or Med-Surg) Shifts: Will vary based on weekly board posting
