Responsibilities
- Work closely and independently with individual researchers, their support staff and the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation group to facilitate the administration of PMCF-funded research accounts
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial invoices for research accounts within the growing portfolio
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis to assist with forecasting
- Perform cross-functional duties and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
- At a minimum, Community college diploma (three years) in Accounting/Finance or equivalent program
- Two (2) years of related experience in an accounting environment with exposure to a range of basic accounting practices, procedures and principles
- Experience with Grant accounting preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent client service and satisfaction
- Skill in performing detailed numerical computations and accurate data entry
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with strong organization and time management skills
- Strong knowledge of computer application accounting systems & software applications, preferably in a Microsoft Office environment (i.e., Excel, Word, Access)
