This National Guard position is for a STAFF ACCOUNTANT (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2391P01 and is part of the FL USPFO, National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open ONLY to ON BOARD USPFO employees excepted permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the Florida National Guard. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation. Military Grades: Officer/Warrant Officer/Enlisted: E5 thru O5 NOTE #: Must be Financial Manager Level 1 qualified within 2 years of employment. Degree: accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. *Must submit your transcript to be consider.* SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience analyzing accounting work related to the development and execution of many military and civilian policies and programs. Experience conducting performance accounting reviews and conducting activities related to the detection of fraud, waste, and abuse. Experience researching, analyzing, problem-solving and performing work that follows established accounting methods and procedures.
