Job Description: Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing advanced nursing care in the pre-op clinic to in-patients pre-scheduled for surgeries. Duties include, but are not limited to, assessing patient's health status, performing physical exams, identifying significant health risks, and ordering treatments and diagnostic tests under Standardized Protocols Procedures. Communicates clinical findings to, and works collaboratively with, physicians to develop patient treatment and education plans. This position reports to the department director and must meet credentialing requirements established for nurse practitioners.
