Responsibilities

  • Provide program management oversight to ensure the effective support, stability, and ongoing maintenance of Scout IT systems and platforms.
  • Partner with business domain leaders to understand objectives, requirements, and challenges; identify opportunities to leverage IT solutions that improve processes and drive operational efficiency.

  • Lead end ‑ to ‑ end implementation efforts, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and successful deployment of IT applications.
  • Establish and manage processes for ongoing system support, maintenance, and upgrades to minimize downtime and ensure rapid issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, managing contracts, deliverables, budgets, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively identify opportunities for innovation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Define software strategies and develop product roadmaps to ensure long ‑ term platform viability, scalability, and business continuity.
  • Manage the domain IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency, financial accountability, and optimal allocation of resources.
  • Location & Travel Expectations :
  • This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC or Novi, Michigan .
  • This role requires 4 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience implementing and managing enterprise IT applications, with automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience building, mentoring, and leading high ‑ performing IT applications teams, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Strong technical expertise in enterprise IT applications, including experience working with APIs and designing or supporting system integrations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to clearly translate complex technical concepts for non ‑ technical audiences.
  • Experience with enterprise IT business systems supporting Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales functions.
