Located at the Great Plains Youth Regional Treatment Center (YRTC) near Mobridge, SD. This is a leadership position. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Individual Occupational Requirements Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience in providing wide range of up to date mental health testing, evaluations and clinical services. Experience in providing the full range of mental health services for patients who have emotional problems, acute or chronically mentally ill, mentally handicapped and patients with personal adjustment problems. Experience in providing and coordinating crisis intervention and for problems related to physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse suicide ideation/gestures, homicidal ideation/gestures and other serious behavioral health emergencies. Experience in written and oral communication. Experience with applicable Federal law and/or codified Federal Regulations as it pertains to this type of service and/or for this targeted service population. Selective Placement Factor Professional knowledge of social services as evidenced by possession of a current clinical independent license to practice social work (LCSW) and dually licensed as a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) provider with a license in one of the following: LADC, LAC, CADC, IAADC or reciprocal equivalent is required. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
