Summary of Position The person in this role supports the Vice President, Head of Employment and Immigration Law and partners with Human Resources and business managers to manage risk and provide employment and labor law and immigration law support to our ever-growing, dynamic and world-spanning public company. This position is a key contributor to Teladoc Health's global Legal Department and plays a key role in helping build the infrastructure necessary to employment and labor related legal matters, including supporting VP, Head of Employment and Immigration law, supporting and advising on employment litigation matters, labor matters, policy and procedures, wage and hour and classification matters, employee relations matters, and immigration matters. The ideal candidate for this position must have flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, growing, exciting environment and to manage a team of supporting lawyers and legal professionals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the VP, Head of Employment and Immigration Law on HR on responding to agency matters (including position statements, responding to Requests for Additional Information, etc.) general litigation (including fact gathering, witness interviews, discovery, preparing evidence and motions practice), provide analysis and advise on issues related to hiring, terminations, performance management, compensation, immigration, investigations, accommodations, reorganizations, and other employment-related matters in alignment with company goals. Monitor changes legislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities relating to the above substantive legal areas, and provide proactive, strategic advice to the VP, Head of Employment and Immigration on compliance with changes. Draft and revise policies, procedures and other employment-related documents and agreements. Manage internal audits and process reviews, and new policy creation and implementation. Participate in creation and delivery of policies related to employment law matters, such as employee handbooks, leave policies, management policies, etc. Anticipate and mitigate potential legal risks and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation. The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs. Qualifications Expected for Position Law degree from a major U.S. law school (or foreign equivalent) required with active license to practice law in one of the following states: New York; Illinois; California; Texas; or District of Columbia. At least 2 years of labor & employment experience at a law firm and/or in an in-house legal department. Strong analytical, writing, oral communication, research, investigatory, advocacy, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Vision and experience in strategic initiatives beyond tactical implementation, including balancing legal and business needs while assessing appropriate risk to make tough decisions. Maintain working knowledge of company policies, state and federal legislation. Experience with responding to demand letters, preparing position statements, and with litigation generally. The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $155,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026 . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions. We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
