Responsibilities

  • As a Junior Analyst, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Model Implementation: Execute the implementation of segregated models across equities and bonds, ensuring alignment with client goals and market conditions.

  • Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or another quantitative field.
  • Advanced Qualifications: A Master's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, or Economics is highly desirable. Additional qualifications such as a CFA or CAIA designation, or risk management certifications like PRM or FRM are advantageous.
  • Relevant Experience: 1-3 years in investment management, client servicing, or operational roles within the financial services industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytical and programming tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, VBA for Excel, or comparable technologies, with a strong track record of applying these tools in handling complex data structures.
  • Innovative Thinking: An independent and critical thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving and process improvement. We look for candidates who are not only adept at routine tasks but are also capable of conceptualizing new solutions that enhance business efficiency.
  • Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of asset management, financial markets, risk management, and investment performance metrics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in both French and English, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
