About the role
The Ukiah Daily Journal is looking for a reliable, Full-Time Route Delivery Driver. Based out of Ukiah, you will drive a company vehicle to pick up newspapers, sort them, and get them ready for our local delivery carriers. Responsibilities
- Routinely drive company vehicle to/from, Lakeport and Ukiah
- Travel to Bay Area (Concord) once a week
- Pick up/deliver papers to distribution sites
- Sort and label papers to distribute to carriers
- Work is essentially outdoors, and involves exposure to all weather and road conditions
Requirements
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills (email, entering time and expenses)
- Good driving record
- Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to lift/carry papers
