About the role

The Ukiah Daily Journal is looking for a reliable, Full-Time Route Delivery Driver. Based out of Ukiah, you will drive a company vehicle to pick up newspapers, sort them, and get them ready for our local delivery carriers. If you like working independently and enjoy driving, we want to hear from you! Shift Details: Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Full-Time) The Ukiah Daily Journal, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group, is the trusted source for news and information in Ukiah and Mendocino County, California. Published Tuesday through Sunday, we deliver daily coverage of the local events, issues, and stories that matter most to our community. Responsibilities

• Routinely drive company vehicle to/from, Lakeport and Ukiah
• Travel to Bay Area (Concord) once a week
• Pick up/deliver papers to distribution sites
• Sort and label papers to distribute to carriers
• Work is essentially outdoors, and involves exposure to all weather and road conditions

Requirements

• Regular and reliable attendance
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Basic computer skills (email, entering time and expenses)
• Good driving record
• Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to lift/carry papers
