Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering
• Design electrical systems for buildings, plants, and industrial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems.
• Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection.
• Project Management (Construction)
• Plan and oversee electrical installation activities on construction sites.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project teams to ensure smooth integration of systems.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Manufacturing & Plant Operations
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment such as motors, PLCs, transformers, and control panels.
• Support production teams to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Automation & Control Systems
• Design, program, and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA systems.
• Improve automation processes to enhance productivity and safety.
• Diagnose and resolve control system faults and failures.
• Installation & Commissioning
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure proper calibration and functionality before project handover.
• Prepare commissioning reports and documentation.
• Safety & Compliance
• Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, local regulations).
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Energy Management
• Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
• Implement sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain detailed records of electrical designs, maintenance activities, and project progress.
• Prepare technical reports, manuals, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Requirements

• Education
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2-7 years of experience in electrical engineering within construction or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems and project execution is preferred.
• Technical Skills
• Knowledge of power systems, electrical circuits, and industrial automation.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, VFDs, and control panels.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar).
• Understanding of electrical standards and codes.
• Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
