Responsibilities

  • As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will support the day-to-day accounts payable function and ensure supplier accounts are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices within the purchase ledger system
  • Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies

  • The ideal candidate will have experience within purchase ledger or accounts payable, ideally within a food distribution, FMCG, wholesale or logistics environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role
  • Experience working within a fast-paced SME or growing business
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage high volumes of financial transactions
  • Good Excel and accounting system skills
  • Strong communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
