Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Repair: Performing complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on passenger cars and light goods vehicles (LGVs).
- Routine Maintenance: Executing standard servicing, including oil changes, brake systems, suspension, air-conditioning servicing, and engine tuning.
- Quality Assurance: Conducting pre-repair inspections and post-repair test drives to ensure all vehicles meet rigorous safety and performance standards.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate logs of work performed, parts used, and vehicle conditions for client transparency and internal records.
- Workshop Upkeep: Upkeeping workshop tools, machines, and equipment to ensure a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Performing any other technical or ad-hoc mechanical duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on repair experience within an established independent workshop or an authorized dealership network.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in handling modern diagnostic scanners, understanding wiring diagrams, and repairing light commercial vehicles.
- Qualifications: Nitec/Higher Nitec in Automotive Technology, or an equivalent practical trade certification.
- Driving License: Possess a valid Class 3 driving license (essential for conducting vehicle test drives).
- Key Attributes: Strong work ethic, safety-conscious, meticulous, and a great team player who can work accurately under pressure.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English to effectively complete documentation and communicate with stakeholders.
- Work Schedule: 6-day work week.
